Professional Experience (Years and key milestones)

I began my career around 1994 starting off as a labourer, then working my way up to be an advanced coded welder working on large projects.

It was in 2008 when I had the opportunity given to me to become a company welding engineer. From that point I worked my way up through various levels of hierarchy, in different companies, within different energy sectors, to the present day, as a consultant working and overseeing technical compliance on some of the largest projects across Europe, as well as being involved globally as an expert witness on legal disputes.

Qualifications (Degrees, certifications, etc.)

  • Foundation degree in Metallurgy & Engineering Materials
  • BSc (Hons) in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
  • MSc in Welding Engineering
  • Certified International and European Welding Engineer
  • CUBS Civil Expert Witness Certification

The next step is to complete an MSc by research (MScR) in Metallurgy and Engineering
